Wawa Waste Disposal Site Expansion

The existing waste disposal site is operated by the Municipality and accepts waste from the Community of Wawa as well as Hawk Junction, and Michipicoten River Village. The site is approved to accept non-hazardous solid municipal waste. Studies completed by the Municipality of Wawa and inspections conducted by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks have determined that the Municipality's waste disposal capacity must be increased to service ongoing and long term needs.
